Your First Visit

When you enter our peaceful, family-friendly office, we’ll greet you by name and make you feel right at home. You’ll go back to sit down for an in-depth conversation with Dr. Santos about your health history and goals. If she believes we can help you, she’ll let you know how much your examination will cost. If you’re ready to begin, our chiropractic assistant will conduct CLA INSiGHT® scans, which assess the condition of your nervous system through heart rate variability (HRV) and thermography scans.

Next, Dr. Santos will conduct orthopedic and physical examinations and take any necessary X-rays. You can plan to be with us for an hour at this visit, and Dr. Santos will explain everything she does so there are no questions or surprises.

Your Second Visit

Dr. Santos will take time to thoroughly study your scans, X-rays and examination results before you return for your next appointment. At your second visit, she will sit down and go over everything with you in-depth, explaining what’s causing your condition and how our care plan may help. She’ll discuss her recommendations for care going forward, including all costs involved and payment options. If you are in agreement, we will begin your care at this visit.

Payment Options

We are in-network with United Health Care. We also accept all major credit cards, HSAs and FSAs, and CareCredit®. You may choose to make monthly payments or pay in full; there are no contracts, and you will never pay for care you don’t receive.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long before my first appointment should I complete the paperwork?

New patient paperwork must be completed online before your first appointment. We’ll send you a link when you book your appointment. Completing it in advance allows Dr. Santos time to review your health history and prepare for your consultation, making your first visit more productive.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring a valid photo ID and your insurance card (if applicable). Wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement. If you have any previous X-rays, MRI results, or medical records related to your condition, feel free to bring those as well, though they are not required.

Why are there two visits before starting care?

This two-visit process ensures you receive the most personalized and effective care possible. Visit one involves gathering complete information through a consultation, scans, and examination. Between visits, Dr. Santos carefully studies all your results to develop a customized care plan. At visit two, she presents her findings and recommendations, ensuring you fully understand your condition and proposed care before beginning treatment.

How long does each visit take?

Your first visit typically takes about one hour as it includes a consultation, scans, and examination. Your second visit (report of findings) usually takes 30-45 minutes and includes beginning your first adjustment if you choose to proceed with care. Regular adjustment visits are typically 10-15 minutes once you’re established in care.

How much does the first visit cost?

Your first consultation with our chiropractor is complimentary, giving you the chance to learn more about our approach and ask any questions before getting started. If you decide to continue, the exam, scans, and any necessary X-rays usually range between $100 and $200, depending on what’s needed to get a clear picture of your spinal and nervous system health. We’ll go over all costs upfront, so you know exactly what to expect.

What are CLA INSiGHT™ scans, and do they hurt?

CLA INSiGHT scans are advanced, non-invasive assessments that measure nervous system function through heart rate variability (HRV) and thermal imaging (thermography). These scans are completely painless and take just a few minutes. They don’t involve any needles, radiation, or discomfort. The technology helps Dr. Santos objectively assess how your nervous system is functioning and track your progress over time.

Do you require contracts or long-term commitments?

No. We believe in earning your trust through results, not contracts. You have complete flexibility in your care journey. You can choose to make monthly payments or pay in full, and you will never pay for care you don’t receive. Your care plan is a recommendation, not a requirement.

What if I’m pregnant? Is chiropractic safe?

Absolutely! Chiropractic care is not only safe during pregnancy but highly beneficial. The Torque Release Technique is especially gentle and requires no twisting or lying face down. Many pregnant patients seek our care for lower back pain, sciatica, optimal fetal positioning, easier labor and delivery, and overall pregnancy wellness. Dr. Santos has special training in prenatal chiropractic care.

Can I bring my whole family?

Yes! We are a family practice and welcome patients of all ages, from newborns to grandparents. Many families schedule appointments together, making it convenient to care for everyone’s health in one visit. Family wellness is at the heart of what we do.

What if Dr. Santos doesn’t think she can help me?

During your initial consultation, Dr. Santos will honestly assess whether chiropractic is appropriate for your situation. If she determines that we cannot help you or that you would benefit more from another type of care, she will let you know before any examination costs are incurred and can provide appropriate referrals if needed. Your health and well-being are our top priorities.

How soon can I expect results?

Every person responds differently to chiropractic care depending on their condition, health history, and lifestyle factors. Some patients notice improvements after their first few adjustments, while others require more time as their body heals and adapts. During your report of findings, Dr. Santos will discuss realistic expectations based on your specific situation and what timeline you might expect for your particular goals.
